In my opinion, the most basic rule of love is acceptance.
Acceptance is the ability to see a person for who they are, without the desire to remake them. We often fall in love with an image that we have created in our imagination, but true love begins when we accept a person as a whole – with his advantages and disadvantages, fears and dreams, strengths and weaknesses.
We are not perfect, and we should not expect perfection from a partner. Love is not about finding a perfect person, but about making a conscious choice to be with someone who makes you happy, even if they have flaws. It's about the ability to support, hear, and respect each other, no matter what.
Acceptance in love is not compromise or self–sacrifice. It's a conscious decision to be around, not trying to change the other person, but giving them the opportunity to be themselves. This is the real magic of love: when you feel that you are loved not for something, but just like that, without conditions.
