I'm sitting in a cozy cafe, it's drizzling outside, and inside it's warm, it smells of fresh pastries and ground cinnamon. I'm enjoying a cappuccino, mindlessly scrolling through the feed on my phone, when suddenly out of the corner of my eye I notice how a man at the next table suddenly jumps up, grabs someone's phone and... runs out into the street! 😳

First thought - "Robbery!" Heart in heels, adrenaline in the blood!

I was about to jump up, maybe even shout: "Stop the thief!" (yes, I can imagine how everyone turns around in shock, and I am such a heroine of the day). But at that moment I notice that no one around reacts. No one calls security, no one grabs a chair to throw after him, no one calls the police.

And then a minute later this same "robber" returns. Calmly, without fuss. In his hands is the same phone, and with a smile he hands it to the girl at the cash register:

— You forgot it.😏

That's when I burst into nervous laughter! 😅

Can you imagine if I hadn't held back and made a scene? This poor guy would have started making excuses, and I would have burned with shame.

Now I'm thinking: what would you do if you were in my place? Would you have trusted your first impulse or would you have waited for events to develop?😘😂
