A room without books is like a body without a soul (or how not to become a soulless interior).

Books are not just pages in a binding, they are real conversationalists. They don't interrupt, don't roll their eyes, and don't ask: "When are you going to finish?" They are just waiting for you to open them. And even if they stand on the shelf for so long that they become covered in a layer of dust (read: time and wisdom), but even then they make the room come alive.

Now imagine an apartment without books. It's just a room with furniture. Like a body without a soul. You live, but it's boring. Without books, even the dust settles without enthusiasm. Now add a couple of volumes: even "How to Stop Procrastinating" (which you will, of course, start reading tomorrow), a detective story that has been waiting for the ending for three months, and a classic that you put "for show" (but maybe you will open it someday). That's it, the room immediately comes to life, becomes cozy and seems to say: "A person with an inner world lives here, and not just someone who watches TV series!"

So, if your shelf is still empty, run to fix the situation! Even if you read slowly, books will at least pretend that this is normal. And they don't run out of battery, don't require Wi-Fi and don't send annoying notifications.

A room without books is just a furniture showroom. But a room with books is a place where the soul lives.
