I LOVE making cherry pie! The dessert of my childhood. When my grandmother didn't have any money, but she always had the opportunity to just pick cherries from a tree in the village - we would bake it.

To prepare the dough, we will need the following ingredients: flour, sugar, butter, eggs and baking powder. The dough will be soft and light, and will also hold its shape perfectly.

When the dough is ready, the next step is to prepare the cherry filling. If you are using fresh cherries, be sure to remove the pits and add a little sugar to balance the sour note. Frozen cherries should be thawed a little and squeezed out excess liquid so that the filling does not make the dough too wet.

Now we are ready to assemble the pie. Roll out part of the dough into a round shape and place it in a greased baking pan. Then evenly distribute the cherries on top of the dough. The next step is to cover the pie with the second part of the dough - you can make it a lattice so that the cherry filling is visible and looks delicious.

Once the pie is assembled, do not forget to brush it with yolk for a golden crust. Bake it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40-45 minutes or until golden brown. The smell that will fill your kitchen while baking is simply immeasurably good, and believe me, you will not be able to wait until you can cut off the first piece.

mmm I can already smell this aroma!!
