Hot as hell? Yes, please.
Coffee should be such that, after taking a sip, you see your life in slow motion for a second.
So that not only your eyes wake up, but also memories from the fifth grade, when you accidentally called the teacher "mom".
So that the brain, which had previously refused to cooperate, begins to make plans for life in panic. Or at least for the morning.
Warm coffee? This is the drink of traitors. It tells you:
- "Well, of course, I'm here, but somehow without enthusiasm ..."
No. If I'm going to drink coffee, it should be passion in a cup. A small volcano with foam.
And sweet, like love (ideally)
It's all more subtle here.
Too sweet - and you're no longer drinking coffee, but throwing a party for the pancreas.
Without sugar - like a date where no one came.
Sweetness - as a feeling: it should be in moderation, sincere and with a slight note of "mmm".
Like when someone makes you breakfast.
Like a message: "how did you sleep, did you sleep well?"
Like a cat that came and lay on you before you woke up.
Coffee as a metaphor for life.
Here's the truth: if you can make yourself the perfect cup of coffee, then you know exactly what you want from life.
Hot - because you don't accept laziness and dullness.
Sweet - because you still believe in the good (despite the news, exes and the line at the tax office).
And strong - because how could it be otherwise, with our schedule?
And also...
Coffee is almost always a reason.
To talk. To be silent. To rethink.
To start something new.
Or just to stand by the window, watching the rain hit the glass, and you hold the cup with both hands, like a tiny fire.
