Love across the ocean: how not to go crazy when there are time zones between you
id: 10046604

In different time zones, at different rhythms of life, with different weather outside, but with the same excitement in the chest. At such moments, you begin to understand that "time" is not just the hands on the clock, it is a real test of patience, trust and the strength of feelings.

One of the main difficulties is waiting. When you just wake up, and it's already evening for him. When you want to hear the voice of your loved one before going to bed, but he has just left for work. This creates a feeling of "discord", as if you live in parallel worlds. But this is where true closeness manifests itself — not in the number of hours together, but in the ability to be close even at a distance.

It is very important to agree on rituals: a short voice message in the morning, a photo for "good night", messages with wishes for a good day. They work like a thin thread between you that does not break even on different days. Plan virtual dates and spend them like real ones: turn on candles, order food at the same time, talk about dreams. Do not be afraid to play at romance, even if you are on Zoom.

Another point is to respect each other's schedule. Do not turn the relationship into a fight for attention. It is nice when you are important, but it is even nicer when you are understood. Sometimes it is better to let a person get enough sleep or focus on business than to be offended by "an untimely read message".

And, of course, dreams of a meeting. This should not only be a desire, but a plan. Let it be vague, let it have an unspecified date, but real. Knowing that in the future there will be a point where the time between you will coincide again helps not to go crazy.

Love across the ocean is like a blind dance. But if you both feel the rhythm, then no distance will stop you from dancing.
