So. It's time to reveal the cards. Here it is - my secret recipe for delicious paska, which the whole family then goes "mmm" and bites into with such a face as if they are trying something delicious for the first time in their lives.
Ingredients:
(No, don't worry, everything here is quite earthly, without a unicorn and rainbow pollen)
500 g flour
200 ml milk
100 g butter (real, not from the future)
3 eggs
150 g sugar
1 packet of vanilla (two are possible - we are not greedy)
1 teaspoon dry yeast (or 25 g live)
Raisins to taste (and if you don't like raisins - add chocolate. I do not judge)
A pinch of salt
A pinch of love (not sold in stores, alas)
The course of magic:
Warm up the milk a little, dissolve the yeast in it, add a little sugar and flour - make a dough. Let it bubble and rise (approximately like your mood on Friday evening).
Meanwhile, beat the eggs with sugar until fluffy. Add melted (but not hot!) butter, vanilla, salt, and then the risen dough.
Mix all this goodness with sifted flour, knead the dough for about 10 minutes (yes, the gym is cancelled), and at the end add raisins (or chocolate, or nuts, or whatever your heart desires).
Let the dough rise - in peace and quiet, without Wi-Fi and TV series. Let it rest.
Put it into molds (halfway!) and wait a little longer for it to rise. Then bake at 180° for about 40-45 minutes. The main thing is not to smell the oven, otherwise you risk eating the paska right in the process.
Decorate: some with icing, some with sprinkles, I - as it turns out. But always with imagination and a pinch of humor.
What's the secret?
Here it is: don't rush. Do it in a good mood. Turn on the music, sing along, try the dough (okay, it's not really according to the rules, but it's delicious!). And most importantly, bake paska not for the sake of "checking the box", but for the family. For that very "mmm", for which it all started.
My paska always turns out a little different, but always with soul.
