This morning began without an alarm clock. I woke up on my own — not from noise, not from anxiety, but just like that. The sun was already setting in spots on the blanket. I stretched, closed my eyes for a moment longer and smiled. It was so peaceful that I didn’t even want to speak.
I got up, put on my favorite sweater and went to the kitchen. My coffee maker was waiting there, as always. I made coffee with milk and added a little cinnamon. I turned on some light music — something instrumental, without words.
I sat by the window and just watched the world wake up. People walked, cars drove by, but I remained silent. These mornings are like little gifts to myself. No rush, no plans, no stress. Just time for myself.
Sometimes that’s enough to make the day really good.
