The light trembles in a jar or candle, and the heart trembles with it. In our family, it has always been important – who will bring fire home. It is a symbol of blessing, peace and new life.
When I was little, my mother and I carefully covered the candle from the wind. And I was so afraid that the flame would go out, as if all of Easter would be lost in that. When you bring fire into the house – silence, respect, warmth come with it.
We put the candle on the table, and it burned while we painted eggs.
It was like a silent prayer that you say without words. It seems to me that this fire is not just a church tradition, but a very deep spiritual symbol. If you carry it with faith, it really protects the home. And I want this tradition to live in my future family. So that our home is warmed not only by fire, but also by love.
