I really love cooking for this holiday, because it carries something cozy and bright. My favorite part is Easter eggs and dyeing eggs.
I bake Easter eggs according to my mother's recipe - with raisins, zest and of course - vanilla. I also like to dye eggs in onion skins - naturally and beautifully. Sometimes I add a little glitter or patterns from wax, as my grandmother taught me.
I always make jelly - even if only the men eat it. We also always prepare liver pate and a few salads - to make it varied. And, of course, something sweet - cakes or cheese Easter eggs.
It's not about gluttony, but about hospitality, warmth and love.
Because when you cook for others, you put a piece of yourself into the dishes.
And in every plate – a little happiness.
