On this day, we should share good things. We always baked extra Easter cakes - to take to neighbors, relatives, grandmothers who are alone.
I remember how my mother and I carried baskets to the neighboring house, where Aunt Maria lived. She always cried and hugged us, saying: "May it return to you a hundredfold."
After the service in church, we did not go home immediately. We stood, talked, greeted "Christ is risen!" - and everyone answered with a smile. This is a day when everyone is closer to each other.
I believe that the greatest miracle of Easter is the warmth between people. Not a new dress or a table, but an open heart. And when you give someone an Easter egg, an Easter egg or just a kind phrase, it is passed on.
Because Easter is about light. And about us.
