Easter: a little history
For Christians, Easter is the main holiday of the year. It reminds us of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, as a triumph of life and hope. But the roots of Easter go even deeper - to the Jewish tradition of the holiday of Passover, when the people of Israel were freed from Egyptian slavery. The symbolism of freedom, the emergence from darkness into light is common to both traditions.

Traditions that warm the soul
Each nation and each family has its own Easter traditions. Somewhere they bake Easter cakes, somewhere they paint eggs red, and somewhere the whole family gathers around a large table and exchanges kind words.

Kulich is not just a sweet bread, but a symbol of wealth, abundance and joy. Baking it is almost a meditation.

An Easter egg is a symbol of new life. Red is a memory of sacrifice, but also a sign of victory.

Blessing in church is an important moment of spiritual preparation, purification and connection with tradition.

Why is Easter important even in the 21st century?
In the hustle and bustle of modern everyday life, we often forget to stop, breathe and look at the sky. And Easter seems to have been specially given to us to remind us: there is always hope. Even after the longest winter, spring comes, even after the deepest night - dawn.

This is the time when you want to do good, help others, believe in the best and be close to loved ones. And it does not matter how strictly you fast or follow religious canons - Easter speaks the language of the heart.
