Hi, my name is Maria, I'm 25 years old, and today I want to share with you how I stopped worrying about other people's opinions. πΈ I'll start by saying that I used to constantly worry about what other people thought of me. Oh, it was awful! Every glance, every word, every little bit of criticism would make me anxious for days. On social media, I tried to create the image of the 'perfect' girl, always looking like a picture and acting like a textbook example. But all of this only brought stress and a sense of emptiness. π
And then, one day, I just got tired. I realized that I couldn't keep living for other people's expectations. So, I started changing. Not immediately, of course, but step by step.
The first thing I realized - no one can control your life except for you. People will always have something to say. Some will admire your decisions, others will criticize. And that's okay! It's important to learn to be in harmony with yourself and accept yourself as you are. π§βοΈ
I started building my confidence with small steps: I stopped worrying if I didn’t please someone, and began choosing a style that I liked, not what others thought. Gradually, I realized that my thoughts and feelings are more important than other people’s opinions. π
Additionally, I noticed that self-criticism - is often just the 'voice' of our fear. Once I understood this, it became easier to let go of any worries. I started doing things that brought me joy and pleasure, not what was 'supposed to be'. π
And you know what I realized in the end? Other people's opinions only matter if they help you grow. Everything else is just noise. Confidence comes when you stop seeking approval from others and start following your inner voice. π₯
So, if you're feeling a bit insecure, remember: you don’t have to meet anyone’s expectations. Live the way you want, and you will feel real and strong. πͺ
Believe in yourself, and everything will work out. π
