🇷🇺 Russia and Eastern European countries
Here, Easter is not just a holiday, but a whole ritual. A week before it, Holy Week begins, during which strict fasts are observed. Particular attention is paid to cleanliness in the house - everything should sparkle! They bake Easter cakes, paint eggs (usually in onion skins), and prepare cottage cheese Easter. And on Holy Saturday, people bring baskets with treats to church for consecration. At midnight, solemn services are held, after which the sound is heard: "Christ is risen!" — "He is risen indeed!"

🇮🇹 Italy
Here Easter is "Pasqua", and it is always accompanied by delicious food, flowers and a warm atmosphere. Traditional dishes are prepared: lamb, artichokes, Easter pie with eggs and cheese. In Italy, they also bake "Colomba di Pasqua" - an airy cake in the shape of a dove. An important part of the preparation is Good Friday, when many Italians attend religious processions, especially in the southern regions of the country.

🇺🇸 USA
Although Easter in the USA has a more secular connotation, preparations for it are bright and cheerful. They decorate houses, organize an Easter Egg Hunt for children, prepare treats with bunnies and colorful eggs. Much attention is paid to decorations, cards, and Sunday morning often begins with a visit to church.

🇬🇷 Greece
The Greeks take Easter very seriously. Before the holiday, a long fast begins, which is strictly observed. During Holy Week, services are held, especially popular is the Saturday liturgy with the removal of the "holy fire", with which people light candles and take them home. For Easter, they cook magiritsa (offal soup) and roast lamb, and paint eggs exclusively red - a symbol of the blood of Christ.

🇵🇱 Poland
The Poles, like the Russians, bring baskets with treats to the church for blessing. They contain eggs, sausage, horseradish, bread and salt. Easter morning is a family feast with traditional dishes. But on Monday after Easter, the "Åšmigus-Dyngus" holiday begins, during which people pour water on each other - cheerfully and in a spring-like way!

🇪🇹 Ethiopia
In Ethiopia, Easter is called Fasika and is celebrated after a 55-day fast during which meat, dairy products and eggs are forbidden. Preparation includes prayers, fasting and purification. A long service is held on the night from Saturday to Sunday, and only after its completion is it allowed to break the fast. The holiday is very spiritual and important for all Christians in the country.

Easter - different, but united in soul
Whatever Easter is - bright and cheerful or strict and prayerful - its essence is in unification, hope and renewal. People prepare for it in different ways, but in every home there lives the light of expectation of a miracle, warmth, spring and goodness. Easter is a reminder that even after the darkest night, dawn is sure to come.
