My weird addiction

When I was a kid, I was told that people are like books. Everyone has their own story, their own pages, and not all of them are filled with just good moments. Well, in my life, there’s one very strange addiction. Maybe it could even be called an “obsession,” but I don’t want to sound like a compulsive person. I absolutely adore the smell of a new lipstick. Not just “I like it,” but more like I could breathe it in for hours. It may sound silly, but for me, the scent of a new lipstick always represents the beginning of something new. I catch myself thinking that if I don’t like the scent of a new lipstick, I won’t buy it.

And there’s another strange habit that I just have to share. I always leave one last sip of tea in my cup. Even if there’s only a sip left, I never finish it. Strange, right? But I think it symbolizes something bigger than just an empty cup. It’s a small reminder that there’s always “something ahead.” Maybe it’s just an illusion, but it helps me remember that life doesn’t end with just one sip. It keeps going.

A friend once told me that we all have our little “quiet madness.” Some people touch the corner of their blanket before bed, some fold their socks the same way, and some could sit for hours watching pasta cook. And all of that seems perfectly normal because it’s our individuality. It’s not insanity, it’s just what makes us unique. And you know what? I kind of like it.

Some people collect things, some read the same book every evening. Everyone has something that makes them unique and a little strange, but I think it’s these habits that give life its spark. After all, if we all did everything the same, like robots, there would be no joy, no meaning. I think it’s in these quirky little things that the beauty of life lies.

Do you have any habits that no one knows about?
