For me, art is not elitism, not museums with audio guides. It is an encounter. Honest, unexpected, real.
I did not fall in love with art at first sight. I used to think: "This is not for me, I don't understand anything about it." But one day I went to a gallery without expectations. Just to look. And suddenly something responded. Not with logic, but with a feeling. And I realized: to love art, you don't need to "understand", you need to be open.
Now I see art everywhere. In the way my grandmother embroiders a bird on a pillowcase. In the way my neighbor grows petunias on her windowsill. In the way a lonely saxophonist plays at the train station. Beauty is not always in frames. It is often in the small, in the living, in the honest.
I am not an expert, and I don't need one. I am just learning to feel. To stop. To look. And every time I allow myself this moment of silence and admiration, I feel: I breathe deeper.
If you think that art is not for you - maybe just start looking. Not with your eyes, but with your heart. It knows where to look.
With gratitude for beauty,
Yuliia
