I recently finished reading a novel that everyone was talking about. I expected something grandiose, but nothing happened. The plot was good, the characters were alive, but there was no revelation. But a week later I came across an old book in a second-hand bookstore, the one that no one writes about. And it hooked me from the first page.
Why is that? Probably because books, like everything in life, have their time. Sometimes you just need to put aside a trendy bestseller and give something unnoticeable a chance.
I don't rate or write devastating reviews. If you don't like a book, it means it's just not for me. Tomorrow might be a different story.
