Being a woman is the ability to smile when you want to howl, to walk in heels, even if your soul asks for sneakers, and to say "no", even if they expect "yes" from you. This is the art of being fragile and steely at the same time. To be gentle - and firm. To be heard - even if the world is used to not listening.
I like that I can be different: in the morning in pajamas with a mug of coffee, businesslike and fast during the day, and dreamy and vulnerable in the evening. I love that I can empathize, pick up on nuances, read emotions, and create coziness — whether in a room, in a conversation, or in another person’s heart.
I love to throw my hair up in a messy bun or style it like I’m going to the red carpet (even if it’s just to get bread). I love to put on lipstick, even though I love myself without it. I choose how to be. And that’s my freedom.
Sometimes people tell me, “You’re too emotional,” and I smile. Emotions are my antennae. I feel more, deeper, more subtly. It’s not a flaw, it’s a superpower. And if I have PMS, just give me chocolate and let me save the world. 🙃
So yes, I am a woman. I accept it. I love it. And I’m proud of it.
