Sometimes I just lie down to rest… and vanish into my screen.
Evening is my secret pleasure. When everything is done, everyone has gone to their rooms or fallen asleep, when there’s no need to go anywhere or decide anything. Just silence, a warm blanket, dim light, and the soft glow of a screen.
I tell myself: "Just five minutes. I’ll take a quick look..."
But those five minutes lie. They’re like a soft cushion you fall into and disappear.
⠀
I scroll through thoughts, photos, stories. Someone shares a moment, someone writes as if speaking just to me.
I find recipes I’ll never cook, advice I’ll forget, dresses I won’t even search for.
And yet, I feel good there. It’s my personal, safe little space.
Where I can be myself, relax, disconnect from the noise of the day.
I’m not looking for anything special—just that small feeling of being connected to something alive, moving, and real.
Of course, guilt knocks gently: "You promised to sleep early."
But it’s easy to hush it—after all, I’m not wasting time, I’m recharging.
Sometimes I think these evenings are a kind of silent therapy.
No words needed, but suddenly everything inside feels calmer.
⠀
And yes, I’ll fall asleep later than planned again…
But with a soft smile and the feeling that the day ended just right.
