And then evening would come.
The house was quiet. The phone was silent.
In bed, it was just me and my achievements.
You know, there’s a flip side to the coin called “success.”
This is when you suddenly realize that you have no one to share your victories with. No one will ask how your day went. No one will hug you when you’re just tired. No one will say, “Let me make you some tea, take a rest.”
You can only hug your career in reports.
You can’t sleep under the same blanket with it.
She won't snuggle up to you at night and whisper "everything will be fine."
And I'm not saying that a career is bad.
It gives you freedom, self-respect, choice.
But that's only part of life. Not the whole life.
At some point, we all understand:
we need not only recognition, but also closeness.
Not only a salary, but also warmth.
Not only "you're great," but also "I love you."
Because on a cold night, diplomas won't warm you,
but a simple "I'm here for you" can.
