The first thing that helps is breathing. Not meditation, not yoga, I am not one of those who can sit in the lotus position, but just close my eyes and take a deep breath. Then exhale. Slowly. This does not solve all the problems, but it helps me return to the moment.
The second thing I started writing. Not in a blog, not for someone, but just in a notebook. Sometimes one word, tired, afraid, hopeful. And sometimes a whole page of tears. And for some reason this heals.
And I also allowed myself not to be strong all the time. If on a bad day I just cook pasta and watch an old movie, this is also caring. I don't run, I don't prove, I don't pretend. I just am. And that's enough.💮💮💮
