You know, there are days when it seems like the world has decided to unite against you. Problems at work, some misunderstandings with loved ones, even the weather can finish you off! And in such moments, it is very easy to slip into despondency, start feeling sorry for yourself and see everything in a black light.
But I realized one important thing for myself: our internal state is our choice. Even if external circumstances are terrible, we can choose how to react to them. Of course, this does not mean that you need to put on a fake smile and pretend that everything is great. No. It is normal to feel sad, angry, disappointed. Give yourself time to live through these emotions.
My ways to not give up:
Allow yourself to be sad, but not for long. Live through the emotions, then move on.
Look for small joys. Delicious coffee, a favorite song, a small cake.
Focus on what you can change. Control your thoughts and actions.
Help others. It lifts your spirits.
Remember: everything passes. Bad days will also end, the best will always come.
Positivity is not naivety, but strength of spirit. It's about not losing faith in yourself, even when things are hard.
