Here are the conclusions I made from their experience: time together is most important. Even if both are busy, it is so important to find a moment to just be together: take a walk, talk over dinner, or watch a movie together. The main thing is to truly be together. Little things work harder than it seems. Dad could leave a note for Mom on the refrigerator, and Mom would cook his favorite dish for no reason. These simple signs of attention really warm you up.
New experiences refresh feelings. When my parents went somewhere together or just walked along a new route, they came to life, laughed like in their youth. These moments brought them closer.
And when they shared their experiences and dreams, even if it was difficult, their eyes became more understanding and tender.
For me, romance is not only candles and flowers. It is care, attention and willingness to be there not only in joy, but also in everyday life.
And what do you consider important in love at a distance or in a long-term relationship?
