My ideal vacation is without five-star hotels
id: 10057175

I like to find places that aren’t written about in guidebooks. Having lunch in family cafes where the hostess says “eat at least one more spoonful, you’re so skinny.” Sitting on the steps of a fountain and listening to music coming from someone’s open window.
In the evening, wrapping yourself in a sweater and just watching the light of lanterns play on the water. Sometimes you want to let go of all your plans and just go, not knowing where.
My ideal vacation is not glamour. It’s warmth, emotions, simple things that make you happy. And, of course, someone nearby with whom you can be silent, but in a way that makes it clear — for a long time.
