One day a month of complete silence
id: 10043765

We live in an era of constant external and internal noise. Conversations, tasks, feeds, stories. The brain does not have time to digest information. And the day of silence has become a “reset” button for me. I wake up, turn off the sound on all devices, warn my loved ones and just remain silent. I walk, drink tea, look out the window, write in a notebook.
The first hour is excruciating. I want to share a thought, see who posted what. But closer to lunch, peace comes. The brain begins to work differently, deeper, quieter, clearer. I begin to hear myself, my true desires, fears, joys. It's like meditation, only long. After such a day I don't feel tired. On the contrary, there is silence inside, like a clean sheet of paper. There is room for new ideas, inspiration. Try it, one day in silence can tell you more than a thousand conversations.
