We were all children once. I was a girl with pigtails and permanent bruises on my knees 👧🏼. And you were probably that boy who teased but secretly protected 😉. Some of us have already become parents 👨‍👧, some haven't yet, but every adult man deep down remains that same protector 🛡️
Today is Children's Day 👶. But in my heart, this is the day of men who have a soul capable of sheltering someone small and defenseless 💖. Not only physically, but also simply — with a warm look, a hug 🤗, a word.
I am very close to men who are not afraid to be strong in the most beautiful sense: when kindness becomes strength 🤍. The one who can lift a child on his shoulders, teach him to fish 🎣, tell a fairy tale 📖, build a hut 🌲, or just sit silently next to him when his child is feeling bad. It doesn’t matter if it’s your child.
I’m not idealizing. I just know that there’s something very bright ☀️ inside a real man, even if he hides it behind a rough voice or a reserved character. You can see it when he talks about his son 👦. Or when his gaze warms up if there’s a child nearby. Or even when he remembers what he was like himself — when he still believed that you could become a superhero 🦸‍♂️.
So, I believe — you can. And Children’s Day is a reminder of this for me ✨.
Maybe it's not beauty that will save the world. Maybe it's a man who knows how to protect. A real one.
