Love seems simple until it becomes real. We are afraid of appearing weak, dependent, vulnerable. Sometimes we are not afraid to love - we are afraid to be loved.
We find it hard to believe that we can be accepted for who we are. But only in vulnerability is true intimacy born.
Love is not a story about perfection. It's a story about two imperfect people walking side by side, naked in their fears, and not turning away from each other.
It's okay to be afraid of love. But if you take the risk, that's where the real miracle lives, in that risk.
