☀️ Climate dictates the rules
The heat in Egypt is not just a "hot summer". It's the sun, which mercilessly bakes from 9 am, and the sand, which literally breathes warmth. In such conditions, comfort is priority No. 1. My main tips:
Natural fabrics only! Cotton, linen, viscose. Artificial fabrics do not breathe and make the day unbearable.
Loose fit - clothes should not stick to the body. A light sundress, loose shirt or tunic are your best friends.
Light colors - they attract the sun less and add lightness to the image.
👒 Fashion and tradition: how to find a balance
Women in Egypt dress very differently - some wear a hijab, some do not, but the general rule is modesty. This is especially important in public places, markets, and transportation.
Shoulders and knees should be covered - not out of fear, but out of respect for others.
Light scarves or shawls are a versatile accessory. It protects from the sun and adds elegance.
Maxi dresses are my favorite solution. They are stylish, comfortable, and fully comply with local regulations.
💄 Stylish accents are always appropriate
Fashion is also a way to express yourself. So even in hot and modest Egypt, I find ways to be myself:
Bright earrings or a necklace instantly make an outfit stand out.
Good shoes - comfortable sandals with an interesting design add chic.
Manicure, makeup, fragrance - even minimal grooming adds confidence.
🌴 Being stylish is not about fashion, but about a state of mind
Living in Egypt has taught me to be delicate, but at the same time not to cheat on myself. Here, fashion is a dialog between climate, culture, and a woman's character. And this is where the real beauty lies.
