It happened a year ago. An evening, tired from routine, and a silly craving to run away. I opened a travel site, typed “anywhere” — and three days later, I was sipping coffee by the Danube in Budapest. ☕️🌉
It wasn’t an escape. It was a meeting with myself. I traveled alone. I chatted with strangers in lines, laughed with a barista who misspelled my name, and danced on the street to an accordionist’s tune. 🎶
I discovered that the world isn’t so scary when your heart is open. Sometimes, randomness gives you gifts. It gave me a German guy who taught me to laugh at myself, and an Italian woman who said, “You never know where home is until you start walking.”
Do I believe in travel love stories? Absolutely! 😉
