When the tea gets cold, but the heart continues to warm the moments
id: 10047282

You know, there are mornings when it seems like the whole world has suddenly stopped rushing. This moment is like a breath of air after a long run. I like to start the day with a cup of tea, but not just like that, but with attention to all the little things. How quietly the water hisses, how the mug becomes hot in your hands, how the first rays of the sun penetrate the room and play on the walls.

This morning I sat by the window and slowly watched the street, where people are hurrying, hurrying somewhere, as if forgetting to stop and breathe in life. But I was not in a hurry, I was just here - in my little universe. Immersing myself in the aroma of bergamot, I allowed myself to relax and let go of all thoughts about business and plans.

Sometimes we forget that such simple moments are a real treasure. It seems to me that they are where what we call happiness is hidden. After all, the warmth that a cup of tea gives and the warmth that attention and sincere conversation give are something related, almost the same.

That day, when the tea had already cooled down, and I was still holding the mug in my hands, an idea came to me: why not allow yourself to simply live more often? Not to rush, not to chase new achievements, but simply to be close to yourself, your thoughts, feelings.

I remembered that conversation that once began in a small cafe across the street - a person with whom I was in a state of silent understanding, as if we had known each other all our lives. His questions were simple, but made you think: "What is important to you now?" and "What fills your day?".

These questions seemed easy, but in fact they can open up a whole world if you allow yourself to answer honestly. I think that each of us deserves such moments - when you can just be, without trying to please or be perfect.

And here I am again drinking tea, which is now completely cold, and smiling at this thought. After all, the warmest feelings often come when you don’t expect anything, when the heart is calm and open.
