Some people go to the gym like it’s their second home. Me? I treat it like a blind date. I hype myself up, question all my life choices halfway there, and then spend the first 10 minutes trying to figure out which locker is lucky today. 😅
The treadmill and I have a complicated relationship. It starts with a confident walk, then a light jog, then suddenly I’m questioning the meaning of life as the machine ramps up. Who made this thing? Why does 5 minutes feel like 30?
There’s always someone nearby who looks like they were born lifting weights. Meanwhile, I’m just proud I remembered to bring water. 💧
But despite the awkwardness, sweat, and occasional headphone malfunction, there’s something satisfying about it. Even if I’m sore the next day, or my legs feel like jelly — it’s a reminder that I showed up. I did something.
Gym isn’t just about fitness. It’s about showing up for yourself. Even if your workout is mostly stretching and side-eyeing the weights section. 😂💪
