The day I first climbed a small plateau in the Himalayas, I realized that dancing is not just rhythm. It is a breath, movement, connection with the world. 🌍💫 I came to India to be inspired by the landscapes, but I got much more.
I stayed in a village where a monastic community lives. In the morning, I was woken up by a gong. 🎶 I went outside, saw young people - they were talking about how they would celebrate the rice harvest and dance until dawn. They called me. I nodded skeptically. Then I danced. 💃🔥 I didn’t know I could move like that — smoothly, freely, easily. I felt the music in my veins — my shoulders and back opened up, I breathed like I’d never breathed before. 🌬️💖
After dancing, I was sitting on the grass, and a monk was nearby. 🧘♂️ He offered me to put on a yogurt mask with turmeric, mixed according to a secret recipe. He said: “Beauty is not a cream, it’s a light from within.” 💛 I wondered: what does this mean — a light from within? I listened and listened.
Then he showed me how to apply the mask, told me why turmeric is a healer. 🌿 I felt the mask giving off warmth. He asked: “Was the dance yours? Did you breathe the dress?” 👗💭 I thought about it. Yes, I was breathing. And the dress was dancing with me.
In the evening they treated me to tea. ☕ It wasn't tea, but a mix of spices: cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon. 🌶️✨ I thought: "How can it be like this... everything is simple and everything is deep?" I took a sip - and felt warmth in my throat, a light aroma. And I thought: "That's why life is so easy - if you run not in deeds, but in sensations." 🌼
At night, I sat by the fire with the locals and told them about my world - about cities, dances, plasticity, master classes, blogs. 🏙️💬 They listened and laughed. I didn't feel sad. I was in the center. They didn't understand all the words, but they understood the dance and laughter.
I asked myself: can I preserve this freedom of dance, the taste of tea, the ease of movement in the city? I answered myself: yes. 💪 That's why I'm slowly learning new movements. I'm writing a recipe for a mask and tea. And I'm learning to live freely, not by plans. 📝
I come home and I want to dance in my room, apply turmeric, brew tea and remember those mountains again. 🏔️ And it won't be a memory - it will be a continuation.
Have you noticed how one movement changes your look? I have. 👀💃
