Sometimes the city crushes you. Not with people. Not with noise. But with too much stuff. Events, plans, screens, faces. And you just want to turn it all off. Not forever - just pause. Change from the “city version of myself” to the one who walks barefoot, doesn’t check her phone and knows what silence sounds like.❤️
I don’t need the sea and an all-inclusive beach. I’d like a house in the forest 🪵, a campfire, the smell of pine and the crunch of snow under my feet ❄️. Or a sandy path among the fields, where the wind talks to itself 🍃. Where the morning doesn’t start with an alarm clock, but with you finally getting enough sleep.
I’m not running from life. I’m running to it - the real one. Where there is no schedule, but there is time. Where food is not a delivery, but something that smells of smoke and herbs. Where conversations are slow and the silence is warm.
You want to run not from problems, but to yourself. From the concrete “must” to the wooden “can”. And there is no pathos in this. There is fatigue from other people's rhythms. And the desire to live at least a couple of days in your own.
The city, of course, will return. It has its own hooks. But if you have had a couple of such escapes, it no longer holds you so tightly. Because you know: there is another side of life. Without traffic jams, meetings and multitasking. Just you, nature and the feeling that everything is in its place❤️
