🧠What is burnout and how I understood it
At some point, I woke up in the morning and felt: there was no strength, no desire to do anything either. Even my favorite things stopped making me happy. I became irritable, constantly tired, as if there was a fog in my head. At first, I attributed it to fatigue, lack of sleep, stress. But time passed, and it didn't get any easier.
That's when I first asked myself an honest question: "Am I burnt out?"
📉 How it all started
Burnout doesn't come suddenly. It creeps up on you unnoticed - when you work for a long time without rest, strive to be perfect, try for everyone except yourself. I constantly postponed rest, ignored the signals of my body, drowned out anxiety with social networks and coffee.
Until one day I just couldn't get out of bed. Neither physically nor mentally.
🌱 My path to recovery
Admitting that you are tired is not a weakness
The first step is admission. I stopped denying the problem and gave myself the right to be imperfect. It was difficult, but important.
Rest is not a reward, but a necessity
I began to plan rest the same way I plan work. Without guilt. Sleep, walks, digital detox - all this gave me at least a little energy back.
Communication with loved ones
I started talking to friends more often, sharing how I really feel. It turned out that many people have gone through this. Support is a powerful thing.
Psychologist
Working with a psychologist helped me understand the reasons for my burnout. It was one of the best investments in myself.
Little joys every day
I started noticing the little things: a delicious breakfast, a ray of sunshine in the morning, a walk without a phone. These moments provide a resource if you learn to appreciate them.
