My list of stupid purchases and why i love them
id: 10056672

If someone saw my closet and shelves, they would say: "Why do you need all this?"
But I don't know. It's just that sometimes I want to bring home something that doesn't make sense.
For example, I have a small night light in the shape of a cloud that glows with moonlight — I bought it at a toy store, although I'm no longer a child.
I also once brought home an old doll without an arm from a flea market — because it looked so pitiful that I wanted it to have a home.
I also have a plate in the shape of a cat, which I almost never use. I just like that it's there.
Sometimes I think: I could spend this money on something useful — a new blanket, books, dishes. But why?
My silly purchases make me feel lighter. They remind me that not everything has to be right and useful.
They seem to say: you can be an adult, you can be busy, you can understand the news, but still be happy with a soft toy with an untied bow.
When I'm sad, I take out these strange things - and smile.
It seems to me that every person has such a corner of "unnecessary". Where it is real.
I love that this corner is not hidden deep in mine - it lives with me in drawers, on shelves, on the windowsill.
Yesterday I bought something strange again - a tiny donut-shaped candle. Will I light it? I don't know. But I am calm that it just stands there and smells like vanilla.
When I get tired of being serious, I will just open the box with my meaningless treasures.
And I will know - you can still choose something just because you want it.
