There was a time when I believed happiness was something loud, grand - worthy of headlines.
A new car. A trip to the end of the world. That one “yes” on the phone call that changes everything.
But over the years, I’ve come to understand something else: true happiness is very different.

Happiness is the silence of the early morning, when no one is texting or calling, and you belong only to yourself.
It’s the aroma of coffee filling the kitchen while the house is still asleep.
It’s the feel of your favorite dress - not because it’s trendy, but because in it, you feel truly you.

My perfect day? It’s not on the Maldives or in some fancy restaurant.
It starts with a quiet “thank you” whispered inside for a new day.
I step out onto the balcony, or simply open the window - breathe in the fresh air and catch the sunlight brushing across my face.
Maybe it’s raining - and then happiness hides in a soft blanket and a cup of hot chocolate ☕
Or maybe the sun is shining - and I take my bike to the park just to watch the trees, the people, the sky.

Happiness is the cashier’s genuine smile at the store.
A stranger holding the door open for you.
A silly voice message from a friend that makes you laugh like you’re back in school.

Evening brings a glass of wine, soft music, a little flirtation in messages, or a quiet conversation with someone who understands you without explanations.
It’s someone who hugs you not out of habit, but because he truly wants to.
Someone who asks, “How was your day?” - and really listens to the answer.

I want to share days like these with a man who, like me, knows how to be fully present.
Who doesn’t chase only the “big things,” because he understands that the greatest joys are hidden in the smallest moments.
In shared silences. Barefoot walks. Breakfasts in bed. In laughing together at a movie you’ve both seen a dozen times.

A perfect day?
It’s the one you want to live - not to post about it, but simply for the way it makes you feel.
