Habits that ground you

My mornings used to be chaos: snoozed alarms, rushed tea, scrolling my phone on the go - always feeling like I was already behind.

Then I decided to give myself the gift of calm. Not some perfect Pinterest routine - just a real one, that fits me.
I called it my morning ritual.

Here’s how it looks now:

☀️ 7:10 - I wake up and spend 5 minutes just lying there. No phone. No to-do lists. Just reminding myself “I’m here.”
☕️ 7:20 - I make tea or coffee, depending on my mood. I drink it by the window. No music. Just me.
📓 7:40 - I write a few lines in a notebook. Not a full journal - just a morning thought. Sometimes a word, sometimes a paragraph.
🧴 7:50 - Face wash, moisturizer, a citrusy spritz I love.
🎧 8:00 - A slow podcast or instrumental playlist - and only then, I dive into the day.

And you know what? It’s not just about the morning. It’s about reconnecting with myself.

Not always perfect. Some days, I still hit the ground running.
But when I do this - the day feels anchored.
And I feel present.

Small habits aren’t just routines. They’re anchors that help us stay steady in life’s current.
Sometimes, that’s all you need - a soft landing into your own day.
