But what does “status” even mean? Is it a sign on the door? The number of subscribers? The make of the car or the depth of your soul? High status is when…?
People with a serious expression like to say: “He has high status.” And you stand there, nodding obediently, while your head spins: “How so? Does he fly business class and eat avocados on schedule?”
In fact, status is not always about money or position. It can be respect. Or confidence. Or the ability to behave with dignity — even without a thousand-euro watch.
Sometimes status is when you can smile when everything is not going according to plan, and you don’t lose yourself, even if you have lost everything.
But what if I don’t care?
And here’s where the fun begins. As soon as you stop chasing status, it reaches out to you.
You don't boast, you just live: in your favorite jeans, with a cat on your shoulder, with a dream in your head. And suddenly - bam! - you are already a person who is envied. Because you are free. And this, by the way, is a very rare status.
So is it important to have status? Perhaps. But it is even more important to know your own. Even if it sounds like "a happy person"
