How to protect children from mosquito bites?

1. Dress correctly
For walks, choose light but closed clothes - long-sleeved shirts, trousers or light pants. Light colors repel mosquitoes better than dark ones, and keep you cool.
2. Natural repellents
Choose only children's repellents marked "for children", containing natural ingredients: essential oils of lavender, citronella, eucalyptus. They are safer and less likely to cause allergies. Apply the product strictly to clothing, avoiding the face and hands.
3. Protection during sleep
For sleep, use mosquito nets on cribs and windows. If your child sleeps outside, take a portable mosquito net with you. It is important that your child does not wake up itchy and crying!
4. Avoid mosquitoes during their active hours
Mosquitoes are especially active at dawn and dusk. If possible, plan walks at other times or provide your child with additional protection during these hours.
5. First aid for a bite
If a bite does occur, do not let your child scratch the bite. Instead, apply a cold compress or soothing cream with aloe. This will help relieve itching and inflammation.
