What's new in the world of cinema, what are they talking about, and i argue about it

Yesterday I caught myself thinking that I haven't watched a movie silently for a long time. No, not during the show — then, on the contrary, I freeze with a bucket of popcorn and forget to breathe. But after — arguments always begin.

For example, "Tomorrow, which never comes" is a sensational drama in which the director took on serious philosophy. Critics are delighted, but I am not. Why? Because I never found living heroes behind the beautiful shots. Do you often come across films where the form eats up the essence?

But with "Black Paradise" it's the opposite: the trailer seemed like a banal thriller, but the film fired with its atmosphere and acting. I sat there until the end of the credits and thought: "This is how it should be - a minimum of words, a maximum of feeling."

I am also following the new project of the director who made "Sand in the Wind." He is preparing a sci-fi with an incredible budget. But, to be honest, I am afraid: will it become another beautiful empty shell? Sometimes blockbusters try so hard to surprise with the picture that they forget about the spiritual spark.

There are also small joys: festival films that do not get a wide release, but then become cult. For example, "House Without Windows" is a chamber story about a family on the edge of the world. I found it by chance and could not tear myself away. After such films, you want to be silent and drink tea for a long time.

I once dreamed of becoming a film critic. Now I understand that it is not reviews that are more important to me, but conversations after the screening. Arguing, agreeing, swearing, quoting characters in correspondence. Cinema is my reason to feel alive and a little bit not boring.
