What would I see there?

Maybe I will see myself walking barefoot along the seashore - slowly, with the wind in my hair and silence in my heart. Someone is walking next to me, holding my hand. And I don’t need words to understand - this is my person. The one for whom it was worth waiting, believing, making mistakes and starting over.

Or maybe I will see something completely different: myself in a cozy room with books, with a cat on my lap and a cup of tea, and - most importantly - with peace inside. I smile at myself in the mirror, because I know: I have not betrayed myself. I have not turned where other people's desires sound louder than mine.

Sometimes I think we are too afraid of the future because we forget: it does not come suddenly. It grows out of every choice we make today. And if I choose love, honesty and inner strength - then whatever future awaits me, there will definitely be light there.
