I know how you love to come home to a place where it is warm, clean, smells delicious and everything is in its place. Where a soft blanket lies on your lap 🛋️, dinner is ready “by itself” 🍲, and shirts hang ironed 👔. Yes, this comfort relaxes, gives a sense of peace. But have you ever wondered why is it always “created” by me?
Home comfort is not the weather that just happens 🌧️. It is work. And it’s not even about cooking or cleaning it is the energy that is invested to make the space comfortable 🕯️, so that you want to come back here. And this energy is mine. Mine, when I come home tired, but still automatically wash the dishes 🍽️. Mine, when I just want to lie down on the couch, but I take out the vacuum cleaner because there is dust in the corner 🧹. Mine, when I think about what scent the sheets will smell like or what candles to put on the table so that it is pleasant for the eyes.
I am not against this. It is pleasant and beautiful - for both me and you. But let's be honest: why is coziness in the house almost always perceived as something that a woman should create? Why is this "coziness" not two, but most often one?
Coziness is not only about clean floors. It is about the atmosphere. About coming home and feeling: it is easy here. But for it to be easy for both of us, it should be easy for me too 💫.
Therefore, if you want to live in coziness - do not expect it to come with me. Create it next to me 🤝. Then this house will truly be for two. And believe me, it's a completely different taste when the comfort is mutual.
