Is separation a small death?
id: 10043196

We don't just say goodbye to a person - we say goodbye to a part of ourselves that we lived next to him.
The first stage is silence
The silence after separation rings. Not because the world has become quieter. But because you have become empty.
You wait for a message, you hear his name in the noise of the street, you catch his gaze - and suddenly you remember: that's it.
It's not forever, but at first - it hurts. As if someone pulled out a flower by the roots. Even if the flower was poisonous.
The second stage is the mirror
After separation, we become ourselves. Without "us". Only "I". This is a chance - scary, but honest.
You look in the mirror - and see who you have become. What you are left with. What you truly felt, and what you made up.
And here growth begins. Because pain is also a path. It burns out illusions, leaving the truth.
The third stage is returning to life
And then… one day you laugh. For real. And it’s not because everything is over, but because you came out of it stronger.
You are no longer the one who held someone’s hand. But you are alive. Alive means feeling.
And, perhaps, capable of loving again. No longer from lack, but from excess.
A small death. A big beginning
A breakup is an end, yes. But something always follows the end. Something new. Sometimes better.
The question is not why someone left. But what remains with you.
Let tenderness remain. And for yourself, too.
