If someone tells you that you are in the way...
id: 10056981

You are not in the way.
You live. You feel. You exist to the fullest.
You are not noise in someone's life. You are an entire universe.
You do not have to be comfortable
Being yourself is not a crime.
You should not belittle yourself to fit into someone else's framework.
If your joy, energy, voice, dreams are "in the way", perhaps you are simply in the wrong environment.
Convenience is not a sign of love. Respect is.
If someone tells you that you are unnecessary - remember:
This is not the truth.
This is not a diagnosis.
This is not a sentence.
This is a reflection of someone else's pain. Their irritation is their choice.
You don't have to be small to make someone feel better.
You have the right to take up space
You don't have to apologize for your existence.
You have the right to speak, to feel, to be imperfect, to be bright, to be yourself.
Not everyone needs you - and that's okay.
But you definitely don't "get in the way" of someone who is capable of truly loving.
What can you tell yourself when you feel like you're superfluous:
I'm not getting in the way - I'm just living.
My emotions are important.
I have the right to be.
I will find those who need my light, and not find it a burden.
My presence is a gift, not a burden.
The ending?
You're not getting in the way. You exist.
And if you're reading this - know that you're needed. The world becomes warmer from your breath.
Don't let other people's words make you smaller.
You're not too much. You are enough. Just the way you are.
