If I lived in a house with huge windows, I would allocate an entire room for a workshop - with an easel, chests of drawers for brushes, shelves for fabrics. But my reality is 28 square meters and a closet that creaks every time you open it.
When I wanted to draw, I first put the idea aside - like, there is no room, then somehow. But then I realized: if you wait for the perfect space, you may not start at all. I pulled out an old table, put it by the window and collected everything I need in one box.
Since then, my "corner for everything" has lived its own life. Sometimes it turns into a mini-studio - I sew simple bags from old jeans there. Sometimes - into a watercolor studio. Sometimes - into a scrapbooking table.
The secret is to have everything at hand. I hung a few hooks for scissors and ribbons above the table. I bought a couple of boxes for paper and brushes. And most importantly, I agreed with myself: even though the apartment is small, creativity is bigger than any walls.
Now, when people tell me: "I have nowhere to create," I smile. Because I know that the main thing is not the meters, but the desire to open the box and let your hands work.
