How i listen to one album 100 times and never get tired
id: 10056949

There is an album that I have listened to over a hundred times. I know the order of the tracks, the pauses between them, even the vocalist's breathing before a difficult phrase. But every time - like the first time.

This is "In Rainbows" by Radiohead. The first time I turned it on was at night, when I couldn't sleep. Then everything inside me was clenching - from thoughts, from loneliness, from expectations that did not come true. And suddenly this voice, this guitar, this rhythm - it was as if someone took my hand.

Since then, I turn it on on the road, when I drive alone. Or when I drink tea, wrapped in a blanket. It has become something more than just music. It has become part of my rituals. I even once made a cake for it - and it turned out perfectly tender.

People tell me: "Don't you get tired of the same thing?" No. Because the world around you is changing. I am changing. And an album is like a mirror. It shows what I am today.

I think everyone has such an album. Or a book. Or a smell. Something that doesn't get boring. Because with it you don't just listen - you feel yourself.

And you know, it's not even about music. It's about allowing yourself repetitions if they give you warmth. Not everything needs to be updated. Some things just need to be cherished.
