The most unusual beaches in the world: where you should visit
id: 10057169

When someone says the word beach, we immediately imagine white sand, palm trees, the sound of the surf and a coconut in your hand. But the world is much more interesting. There are beaches that do not fit into the usual picture - they are like from another planet.

The first on my personal list is Glazed Beach in California. Imagine: the waves are whispering, and instead of sand - tiny glass pebbles polished by the sea. It appeared on the site of a former landfill. Nature turned out to be smarter than man - it turned trash into a jewel.

The next one is Punalu'u in Hawaii, a black beach. Yes, coal-black sand. It is volcanic, and when you lie on it, you feel as if the earth itself is breathing under you.

There is another one - Pink Sand Beach in the Bahamas. The shade of the sand there is as if someone sprinkled strawberry sugar. This is due to small particles of coral and marine organisms. It looks fabulous.

And what about Green Beach Papakolea? It is also in Hawaii. The sand there is olive - a rarity even by geological standards. All thanks to the mineral olivine.

I dream of being on Bolsa Chica in Brazil one day, where the beach is strewn with glowing plankton. When you go into the water at night - it glows. Like in the movies, where a miracle happens in reality.

Each such beach is a reminder: beauty can be completely different. It does not have to be classic, familiar, "like in an advertisement." Sometimes you need to look for the unusual to feel the real.

And what beaches would you add to your list of "must-sees"?
