How a tin of ice cream can lift your mood
id: 10056672

I don’t associate a tub of ice cream with movies or a broken heart. I associate it with Fridays, when everything is too much. When your hair is no longer lying down, your mail is bursting, and your head is full of lists.

And that’s when I take out a tub of ice cream. Not a scoop. Not a bowl. But a tub. With a spoon, no rules. I sit by the window, my legs tucked in, and I feel the world starting to thaw.

Sometimes it’s ice cream, sometimes with cookies. But it’s not the filling that’s important, it’s the ritual. That moment when you give yourself permission. Not to be perfect. Not to cook dinner. Not to work until the last email.

I even have a spoon that I use only for ice cream. It’s a little worn, but the shape is perfect. Such things become personal magic.

Someone will say - food does not solve problems. Maybe. But it can give a break. And from this break, a solution grows. Or at least laughter.

I think every woman should have her own "life preserver". Sometimes it's a bubble bath, sometimes a pillow from the windowsill, and sometimes just a can of ice cream.
