Flowers that will cheer you up even on a gloomy day

Flowers change the atmosphere in the room. Inside and outside. You don’t have to wait for a special occasion to buy a bouquet. I actually believe that you can put your mood in a vase.

Here are my personal “flower saviors”:

1. Ranunculus. Fluffy, delicate, with shades from lemon to pink. When I put them on the windowsill, it seems as if everything has become cleaner and quieter.

2. Anemones. These flowers with a dark center seem to be looking at you. They are not cute - they are expressive. There is some kind of power in them.

3. Peonies. You can never guess how they will open up. Sometimes on the third day. Sometimes on the same night. But each time - like the first confession.

4. Matthiola. It smells like vanilla ice cream and an evening garden. It smells like childhood and home.

5. Tulips. Especially at the end of spring, when no one is waiting for them. They are capricious, but they live their short life brightly.

I am not a florist. I just know how color affects our perception. And how important it is to catch micro-moments of joy. Get up in the morning, pour water into a vase and think: today I chose myself again.
