Many people think that this is just an excuse. That I'm shy or don't like myself in photos. It's funny. This is not about that at all 😉
“I don't like to be photographed” is like a password. A code phrase that few people understand. It means: I don't want some random person to have access to my moments 📂. I don't want some stranger to scroll through me in their gallery 📱
A photo is control. A piece of your life frozen once and for all. And I'm not going to give this control to just anyone 🔥. My face, my emotions, my states - they are for those who are nearby in real life ❤️
The camera doesn't fit the most important things: the smell of my skin, the warmth of my gaze, the slight curve of my lips when I'm thoughtful or dangerously calm 😏. The photo makes a flat shot out of it, without taste, without energy, without reality.
So, if I said that I don't like being photographed, it's not about shyness 💋. It's about value. About the fact that my image is not for everyone. And if it ever falls into your hands, know: it's not an accident. It means that you've found yourself in that very narrow circle where you just don't get in 🔑
